Giles Rayner
Giles originally fell in love with sculpting aged 16 in the realm of ceramics, but it was nearly decade before he stumbled upon the joys of working with water and discovered an aptitude for metalwork. Since graduating from Kingston in 2002 he has worked hard to build up an incredibly varied and original portfolio, establishing himself as a leading player in the world of water sculpture.
His work is all about energy and intrigue, but also simple aesthetic beauty. One of his greatest skills is the ability to work with individual settings - ranging from the medieval courtyard to the modern stylised garden or public place; creating sculpture that not only work in terms of scale and design, but also achieve timelessness. Water is the element that embodies designs with real life, binding order and chaos and achieving - sometimes the dramatic, sometimes the peaceful.
Giles is based in Gloucestershire, but can work internationally. Most sculptures are individual commissions, but limited editions or variations of some designs can be made. Please use detail below to make an enquiry.
